Mama Melodies
Ensuring maternal mental health is one of the most important—and scientifically proven—determinants of a child’s healthy brain, emotional, and social development.
In Singapore, Postnatal depression (PND) affects about 1 in 10 women after childbirth. Only 1 in 3 seek treatment. This would be equivalent to around 200-300 mothers every month in Singapore requiring mental health support.
Based on ground-breaking research by the Royal College of Music, Imperial College London, Kings College of London and the World Health Organisation with proven clinical outcomes, Mama Melodies is a programme informed by Breathe Arts Health Research for mothers with or at risk for postnatal depression. The world's largest arts-in-health research studies show evidence that this programme effectively reduces PND symptoms sustained even six-months after the intervention, using both validated scales and biosampling.
This 10-week, evidence-based music programme is available outside of Europe for the first time, localised for new mothers in Singapore.

“Their attention to detail and commitment to quality truly stood out. We’ve already recommended them to others.”
"As a first-time mum, I was initially worried about stepping out alone with my baby, but these sessions have helped me bond with my little one and gradually build confidence in myself. Thank you for creating such a supportive space!"
"Mama Melodies is a safe haven for mummies to gather and sing, let their babies enjoy and move freely with no fear or judgment. At least for one hour in a week, being fully seen and accepted just the way we are is very healing."
"(Mama Melodies) gave my baby a rare chance to meet other babies, and it also supported my own mental well-being through music, singing, and a warm, welcoming environment. Having a meaningful place to go every weekend was such a joy... I felt comforted."
